What to Expect From an Outing to Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks

Mill Creek Canyon EarthworksCreated in 1982, Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks has garnered nationwide critical acclaim over the years as a masterpiece of environmental art. Integrating art, landscape and ecology, Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks is spread out over 2.5 acres of pathways, bike trails, fountains, sculpted earth and expanses of gorgeous green lawns.

Part of the fun of enjoying Mill Creek on a bike is how conveniently the trails connect to two additional Earthworks: the Green River Natural Resources Area and Lorna Jordan’s Waterworks Garden. Open year-round, the Earthworks Tour is well marked and offers three different routes depending on your level of experience. The easy ride is 12 miles, the intermediate loop runs a total of 20 miles and the most challenging route, the advanced ride is the intermediate Loop with a 3-mile steep hill thrown in to really get your heart racing!
